BUBBLE TIPS #1. Granola

Every month this year we will give you tips which we think will make life a little bubblier. It can be a recipe, a thought to keep in mind, a song, a game and so forth. The first tip comes from our marketing manager and is a recipe of homemade granola. “I often forget my food at home, but by placing an extra jar here and there I know I can always find a healthy alternative that is also fantastically tasteful.” Fill and keep some jars at home and at work, and perhaps a package in your bag? Or why not give a jar away? Because no sensible decisions are made on an empty stomach – right?

Granola

  • 200 g mixed nuts and seeds
  • 400 g oats
  • 150 g whole buckwheat
  • 100 g buckwheat flour
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 1/5 dl coconut oil
  • 5-6 tbsp honey or syrup
  • ½ tsp vanilla powder
  • 1 ¼ dl water
  • 50 g coconut chips
  • Dried cranberries

Heat the oven to 200 degrees. Mix all the dry ingredients in a large bowl, except for the vanilla powder, coconut chips and cranberries. Melt the coconut fat, the maple syrup and the vanilla powder. Add the water. Then pour the mix over the dry ingredients and blend them carefully. Pour on to a baking plate with oven paper and leave it in the oven for approx. 30 minutes. Stir at intervals. Mix in the last ingredients and serve with a little natural yoghurt.
